"A woman dealing with an episode of sleep paralysis has to overcome the growing power of a dark entity in order to regain control of her body.

My film uses the conventions of a horror film to show the deep fear and darkness that comes along with sleep paralysis. With a cast of unique individuals and a grungier tone I plan on taking the audience on a suspenseful trip through Enoch's dream. This cast will help my film give the audience an experience that is unique yet familiar. Dark shadows and dim lighting will give off the feeling of fear while the deep endless space in the studio scene will divert the feeling of solitude. Feelings of helplessness, and loss of control overcome the main character as she is in

the grasp of the entity.

Not only is this film extremely personal to me, but I feel that many people have suffered from sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is not a small problem but something that affects many people. Since this is such a personal topic to me I would be able to fully dive in and show my strengths as a director while challenging my weaknesses. Away from the obvious, this film actually exposes some of my deepest fears in life. It will explore sleep paralysis, self-control, self-awareness, fear of intimacy, fear of vulnerability, and a fear of men all in one short film. People will want to watch this because not only will it be entertaining, but it will touch on these

very common ideas.

This will be my first project that I will write and direct with a full crew so the project as a whole will be an exploration into new territory. It is important that this film be made and be my establishing film in my new career in the film industry. This film would allow me to show my abilities as a young aspiring director.
